DSC_0058DSC_0061DSC_0081DSC_0091DSC_0088

I’m loving my butterfly earrings & Ankara clutch that I made with my new mustard dress.  My brass choker go great with my vintage brass & copper elephant broach on clutch.  I’ve bee practicing my bun lately…I’m getting better so stay tuned :-) I tried white eyeliner for the first time…it definitely gave me a different look I have to get use too.  what do you think? Earrings and clutch are available in the online store.  Ring is sold out.

Spring Turban

I bought these shoes over 7 years ago and I’ve only wore them a few times. I love the wood heel and the printed straps.  I thought they would go perfect with this turban wrap. a this white dress.  This dress is so comfy and it has pockets on the side.  I’m a sucker for anything with pockets on the side.  I guess you would call this a clean bohemian look.

Jumper

I was never into jumpsuits.  I never saw a style that I liked or thought would look cute on me.  So when I saw this jumper I almost passed it up, but the sales guy at the sample sale was like “you have to get this” I was like “you think so, what are these things on the side that look like inside out pockets but aren’t pockets”. So I bought it anyway and when I got home and tried it on, it was the most adorable jumper I ever saw and it fit perfectly. Great find :-)

Ankara Gypsy

I love these pants. I bought them at the Salvation Army.  I wasn’t sure how I would style them and one friend wasn’t to sure if they would be cute at all, but I knew I could make them look funky. She calls them Hammer pants.  I call the Gypsy, Genie or Harem pants and the outfit came out just like I imagined they would. Paired with my leopard heels, wife beater and chocolate turtle neck sweater shawl.  I guess that’s how you would describe it.  Talk about comfort & style.  I love it.  what do you think.  would you wear these?

Walking the Dog

It was chilly in the neighborhood today so I pulled out the Afro puff ski hat and a purple little wool jacket I bought from a second hand store.  You can find these Afro Puff hats in my online store.  Just put your hair up and let your hair go wild out the top…lol.  I love the color and it pairs perfectly with my loose fitting skinny jeans and pink heels.  Of course I have on a white tank because I can always style the hell out of a wife beater.  These can be a style saver and best friend :-) I was trying a new bright pink lipstick too…I think I like it.

Faux leather buns

This is a simple look I put together.  I absolutely love this Faux leather skirt and it has pockets on the side.  Pockets on skirts are the best.  I forgot to take a photo showing the pockets I will try and post a phot showing pockets.  This is my second time wearing a bun. I think I’ll have it down soon with a little more practice.  I love how buns look from casual to dressy.

Electric Lady

I put this outfit together at the last minute when I received an invite to the Janelle Monae concert. I wasn’t to familiar with her music but familiar with her style.  Janelle has a very diverse audience.  My friends said they were dressing up like Janelle and that’s something I never do.  Her theme colors are black & white and by coincidence I bought this black & white striped skirt earlier that same day, so I was like what the heck. Throw on that skirt and grab a bow tie from the fashion district & have some fun.  When I bought the skirt I thought it was a pencil skirt.  I had no idea that it had a split in it but I wore it anyway.  That was a fun night & I got a chance to put together an outfit I would never have thought of putting together and I liked it :-)
